'See a Penny, Pick it up...'

'See a Penny, pick it up... all the day you'll have good luck... blah, blah, blah...' you know how the saying goes... My son will definitely want to pick this Penny up... & he will definitely think he is having all the good luck. This is his 15th birthday card... and yes, he is getting a new 'Penny' Skateboard... not quite the same colour... (his is aqua with awesome purple wheels!) Just the thing to help his growing 'Scab Collection' covering his body!!!!! Well, there will be a few spills when you are 15 and want to try all the new tricks & stunts!!!! As I tell him constantly... if you come off, cover your mouth.. (he has braces that cost us a fortune!!!) I want the teeth to stay in your head... mmm... as you do...

Anyway, back to the card... It was a cool image compliments of 'google'... glossy accents on the wheels and screws.. a bit of stamping... using retired Stampin' Up! Extreme Elements Stamp Set... and there you have it... a 3D 'Penny' Card. The whole skateboard is built up with foam squares allowing me to shape the wheels... nice... Might do a few more versions of this card... it was fun to make... & you never see enough 'Boy' cards..
