Floral Paper Doll

Hi all,

This is my latest instalement of 'The Little Paper Dolls' Collection...
Initialy this paper reminded me of something from Nannas house... loved it!!
I was rifling through my papers and found it hard to decide on just one, so this is just the beginning... Its making me look at them all in a new light!!! This could be bad... no house work is getting done. Oh well, these things happen.

Any way would love to stay & chat but can hear the kettle calling...

Till next time,
Happy crafting!

The Birthday Dress

Hi all,

I think I enjoyed making these cards so much because I used to love those little paper dress up dolls I had when I was a kid... a couple of years ago... yer, right....

I first saw this on Valita's designs & Fresh Folds website. If you haven't checked this website out, you have to put it on your 'google list'. I can't wait to make some more... these little 'frocks' are a  bit addictive.  You will definately see new additions to the Frock Shop collection... gotta work on the name!

After making these cards, I find myself looking at all my papers in a new light... maybe I missed my calling as a fashion designer... or not...

Hope you are inspired to make some cute little Frocks of your own... minus having to drag out the old sewing machine!!

Friends are Flowers

Mornin' all,

Well another hot day in Adelaide... what a shame that I have been banished to the craft room... the only room in the house with an air conditioner that works!!! Mmmmm... what a dilemma! Well, between episodes of the complete 2nd season of the Vampire Diaries... I managed to do a few cards.  (yes, I confess, lovin' the whole Vampire Diaries thing, and I did watch the whole season in 1 day...)

This card however, caused me quite a bit of greif... no mojo was flowing... nearly ended up in the bin. I blame the 39 degree day outside for melting away my creativity.. or it may have been the strawberry champage I was drinking... Anyway, I perservered and this is the finish product...

Bring on the cool change!!! Im meeellllting......

Bye for now,
Luv Deb x

Summer Solstice

Hi all,

I was having a moment, as you do at my age... when I was making these cards. The big dilemma was to grunge or not to grunge... the million dollar question, so I did both just to show you how versatile this stamp set is. They are both so different, think I am liking the grungier one a bit better though. Anyway, I had fun making both..

this is the nice 'neat' version...

and this is the grungier one...

This is such a cool stamp set so you definitely will see this little baby again...

Enjoy your day,
Luv Deb x

Sneak preview

Hi Fellow Craft Addicts,

I thought  I would give you a preview of the new craft room... (I did say little, didn't
want to give too much away just yet!!) ...paint is now on the wall... gotta love the purple. What more can I say, I drive a purple beetle, my bedroom has a purple feature wall, the dressing gown is purple... well the choice was obvious. Had a bit of a hiccup though with the feature wall... couldn't get the colour I wanted so I'm now working on some purple pieces of artwork instead...

I will tease you a bit more till the final unvail... still waiting on draws, shelves and legs for the 'fabulous' table top...

till next time..

Red Rose

Hi De Ho Fellow Crafties...

I've been pretty busy painting the new craft room but still had time to do a bit of 'crafting'... as you do..
I bought a very cool Mc Gill punch and made my first rose... this little baby ended up on a card my dad gave to mum on Valentines Day. Awwww... how sweet... unfortunately didn't have a chance to get a photo so this will have to do...

Enjoy your day,
Luv Deb x

Be Mine... Valentine

He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me... well of course he loves me... mmm...

Hi to those fellow romantics out there... the 14th is looming... its time to find that perfect card, or better still make that perfect card...
I thought these would be great for those out there that aren't keen of the fluffy gooshy floral numbers... these are for the bling fans. The way I see it, you can never have too much bling.

Well, hope you all have someone special to cuddle up with on Valentines Day, whether it be your other half or your special little furball... enjoy the day...
Just remember... love life, laugh lots!!!

Baby Critters

Hi Fellow Crafties...

I just wanted to share these cute little critters I discovered when I was rifling through my box of cards I made a while ago... I forgot all about these little guys... I was actually looking for a baby card and thought one of these would be the perfect choice for some friends who have just had their first baby... congratulations on the safe arrival of Maximilian...
Well, all I can say is that I love my box of emergency cards.. they have served me well... and the receiver is getting a 'Deb' original... as well as one less trip to the shops...
Unfortunately I can't share too much info about the materials used... too many sleeps ago to recall.. and too many glasses of red!!! hee hee...

Anyway, hope you are all inspired to do some baby cards a little bit out of the ordinary... the arrivals of the pink, wrinkly, screaming, precious little munchkins deserve special cards celebrating their arrival...

Until next time,
Luv Deb x

Sweet Pea

Hi Fellow Crafties,

Well, its been a couple of weeks since we last chatted... I've been sweating it out painting my sons new bedroom... his old one is going to be... wait for it... my NEW CRAFT ROOM!!!!! YAY!!!
I will try and show you photos of the progress once I start... will be a busy week or two ahead!!
Anyway, I did manage to make a few cards for 'show & tell'. I spotted how to make these cute sweet peas on youtube.. I'm sharing the love of how to make these to any one who will stand still long enough to listen to my ramblings.  They were made using the Stampin Up! Butterfly punch. The background was made with one of the stamps from the Fresh Vintage Stamp as featured in the upcoming Sale-A-Brate catalogue. If you want to know how to get this stamp set as well as other goodies for free, check out the Sale-A-Bration catalogue link and info link on the right...

Until next time, happy crafting,
