Mouthwatering Wishes

Hi Fellow Crafties,

Well, if you are living in Adelaide, your gardens will be well and truly flooded by now... it hasn't stopped raining all yesterday afternoon & last night. Lets put it this way... our swimming pool is extremely full and my little car looks nice & clean... awesome weather though to spend in the craft room.... what a shame I have to go to work later today...

Last night, while the rain was pouring, I started these cards using the Stampin' Up! Mouthwatering stamp set as featured in the New Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue. Thought I would bring a touch of Summer to this cold & wet day...

mmmm.... 3 hours till I start work.... time for more crafting???? Yer baby!!!
Till next time...

Whoo luvs yu baby???

Hi Fellow Crafties...

Well, I've been getting caught up with a few shows on TV and not doing a lot of crafting... naughty Deb!!! I don't know about you, but if I'm following a blog, I want regular blogging viewing... Its a bit like a TV soap, I need my regular up dates on whats going on... so I apologise it I have been non productive for a while...

Well here is a cute but strange little fellow I wanted to share with you,  he is a pendant made from Fimo. I have worn this little critter on a black leather choker to work to scare the children... mmm.. I didn't say that, did I???  Its quite  funny, you talk to some one and you see their eyes wonder down at your neck and you could almost hear them say... 'what the...???'  I think deep down, I only make these odd little creatures for the shock value.. as well as show them new things to make with press studs and polymer clay... still, I thought he was pretty cute...

For those of you 'whooo' are making Owl cards and after some sayings, I found these from splitcoast stampers... gotta luv the internet...
Hoot Hoot Hoot
No matter where you are or what you do, Owl always love you!
Owl always love you!
Owl be seeing you…
Owl's it goin'?
What a hoot!
Whooooooo loves ya, baby!
Whoooooo's thinking about you? Me! That's whoooooo!
You're a hoot to be friends with.
You're a hoot!
Yoo Hoo!
Knock, knock...Whoo's there?
You're tree-mendous!
From: you know whoo
Congrats on your new nest!
How egg-citing!
Owl always be here for you
Many Hoo-liday wishes!
A little bird told me...

Anyway, time for a cuppa and curl up on the lounge for a bit of TV viewing.

Keep craftin'... that includes me!!!

Hi Fellow crafties..

Hope you day has been more exciting than mine... Ive been catching up on the housework... not good as I could have been creating like mad and have more bits to share with you... mind you, as we are catching up with friends tonight, I did make a bourbon chocolate cake... mmmm... the sauce is absolutely awesome... lets put it this way... the sauce alone has nearly 3/4 of a cup in it... not one for the kiddies... mmm.. what a shame!!! Just for the adults... I wonder what its like on ice cream... have to try that one out!!!

Enough day dreaming... this is my attempt at a never ending card... there are lots of tutorials to view on the Internet... some more confusing than others... so my advise is google 'never ending cards' and chose for yourself what suits your way of learning... I started off with a bit of an idea on how to do it so I guess that helps.... any way, enough babbling... here is the card.

They are pretty cool... all these different looks on one card. They look a lot harder than they actually are to make. Very deceiving... you just keep flipping it open to reveal another part of the card...

Well, back to the kitchen for me now to finish tea.

Enjoy your day..

The Undertaker

Hi Fellow Crafties.. hope all the mums out there had a fabulous day... I worked!!!! Need I say more...

Well, I'm home now and time for one quick blog before dancing with the stars start & I nestle myself in front of the box in dressing gown & uggies... nice...

This is not exactly a Mothers Day themed craft... but I wanted to share anyway. Recently I bought the fabulous book... Zombie Felties... the 'Undertaker' was my first attempt at the whole zombie thing... quite liked the little pink maggot thingies coming out of his exposed brain. This little zombie is going to my sons girlfriend... mmm... not sure about this... he said 'She will LOVE it!!!' We shall see...

Stay tuned for more Zombie Felties

Well, I can hear the kettle boiling...
Keep on craftin'..

Happy Mothers Day!

Hi Fellow Crafties... & most importantly 'Happy Mothers Day Mum'...

I just wanted to make mum an extra special Mothers Day Card... so hence, the exploding box came to the rescue. I used the Stampin' Up! Summer Solstice Stamp Set.... so perfect for the job!!!
I will let the box speak for its self... heaps of fun to make.

Its funny... now I have done a couple of these boxes... I find myself looking at my stamps in a different light... how will that look like suspended... oh yer.. not to mentions I simply refuse to throw out any piece of acetate, plastic, etc that I think I can use.  Nothing like recycling...

Dad... if you are reading this before I give this box to mum... please don't show her this post till after... thanks!

Well, its getting late & I can hear my bed calling...
Till next time...

Felt Fowers for Mum...

Hi Fellow Crafties...

Sorry guys... still no cards to share as I am on the flower mission for work. This weeks challenge was to make 'Flowers come to Life'... & seeing Mothers Day is just around the corner, I thought I would show our customers what you can simply make out of some felt, wire & a touch of 3D Fabric Paint. There is something special about receiving a gift that has been hand made with heaps of TLC... and these ones are easy to care for... no water... gotta luv that!!!

To all the fabulous hard working Mums out there 'Happy Mothers Day'!!!! Hope you all have a wonderful relaxing, pampered and loving day spent with your families... think of these flowers as a gift to you all from a fellow Mum.

To my wonderful Mum... 'Happy Mothers Day' Mum... I simply cannot put into words what you mean to me, so simply, 'thankyou & I love you more than I can say...' xxx

Till next time,
Keep crafting & take time out to smell the roses...

Filter Flowers

Hi Fellow Crafties,

Here is the 2nd instalment of today's activities in 'The Craft Room'... Its too cold to venture outside, not that I'm much of a gardener...

These fun blooms were done using Coffee Filter papers!!! Awesome to work with... they are quite robust when they are wet and the inks bleed nicely. When they were dried, they go nice & crunchy & hold their shape. I will post the cards make from these flowers later...
There are a heaps of sites featuring Coffee Filter Flowers. You have got to check it out. This was my version. Its a great way to use all Nanna's old buttons.. very vintage.

On this particular flower I used the Stampin' Up! Blossoms Petal Builder Punch & sprayed the finished blooms with perfect pearls mixed with water in the mini mister bottles.

Well all this talk of coffee has make me want one...
On that note... Cheers!

Spoon Bloom

Hi All,

Not much card making today but I was on a flower mission... in between a million loads of washing... well not quite that many but it sure felt like it!!! I stumbled across some tutorials of flowers made with plastic spoons!!! Life would be mighty boring for the craft addicts if we didn't have the Internet!!! So off I went to the bargain store around the corner for my $2 bag of plastic spoons.

This is the link to one of the sites I found.

This is definitely a craft that needs to be either done outside or in a VERY ventilated area! Not something I would do on a daily basis, but fun anyway..
Instead of a candle, I used my trusty heat gun instead & it worked a treat!

If you have some old spoons laying around left over from a party, give this one a go. I would like to try a flatter smaller version down the track to use on cards..

Enjoy your day,
Till next time,

Morning all,

This is a very quick post... Its 7.48 in the morning & I have to get my act together and get ready for work... yes, I know, bit obsessed with the whole craftin' thing...
This is another card for 'The Boys' made with the awesome Kaisercraft 'On the move' stamp set.  I used good ole' Glossy Accents on all the chrome bits for a bit of extra 'Boy Bling'... yes boys, admit it... we all love a bit of bling in our lives!  Lots of fun elements in this set... this is definitely another stay tuned for more edition...

Anyway, enjoy your day,
Keep Craftin',
