Hello Baby...

Hi all...

Well, this card is not exactly 'Halloween' inspired as promised earlier... some new sleep deprived mothers may beg to differ... I will get around to it... in the mean time... the theme is 'Babies'... oohhh... how cute.. mmmm.... sometimes not so cute... I hear some babies screaming at work and its like nails on a blackboard!!! My theory is.. all new Mothers develop a 'buffer' of sorts during their pregnancy... so when they hear their own babies cry... they don't have the urge to give it away to the first stranger that walks past... & never breed again... I remember my sons cry... it never bothered me... but other babies... OMG!!! ... that's a different story altogether... love them when they are asleep... oh, so cute... or awake and laughing... that's priceless & melts the heart of ice... I'm really not that bad... am I????
Anyway, enough of my conspiracy theory... back to todays card...

This one was done using another digital Stampin' Up! stamp set... 'Little Additions'..
I always loved this one... if you wish to purchase this set... or simply check it out, click on 'shop now'.

Well, enough chatting... time for a shower... meeting my  mum, dad & my sister for coffee... off to Bunnings to buy a new roller & then an afternoon of house painting outside... mmm... would rather be in my little room making cards...

Till Next Time...

Clintons 40...

Hi all...

Well, 1 week of my holidays are over... & not a lot has been done... I've had a very relaxing time though... lovin' every minute... I did however get together with my sister Rob so she could make a card for Clinton who turned 40 this weekend... & if you didn't guess already, he lives at Lobethal...

We brainstormed ideas... 2 cups of tea later... and Rob made this card... very cool...
I'm thinking up lots of other things you could put on the sign... mmm...

Well, if you live in Adelaide, hope you haven't blown away yet with all this stormy wind... I hate the wind... makes me grumpy...
Will chat to you soon...

Pumpkin Soup...

Hi... back again...

Coffee in hand... yes, I know... I am hard at work... mmm...

This card was made using digital elements from Pickleberry Pop... love this site... & cut them out with my most favourite toy... my Cameo... added a bit of glossy accents to their eyes to make them look a bit more 'goulish'... & used some 'Stampin' Dimensionals' to give them a bit of depth...

Anyway... I looked at these cute little Pumpkin Heads and saw a bit of family resemblance.... I'm the little fat one at the front... Tanis (my very tall 15 year old son...) is the tall one at the back... Torsten (my other half) is the one on the right... there you have it... Pumpkin Soup... speaking of pumpkin soup... I do make a pretty mean one...

Well... time for a shower & get myself in to action... 'Deb... leave the craft room... do some work....'
yer, right...

Will chat soon...

Papillon Potpourri...

Morning all...

Hope all you card makers out there enjoyed a lovely day of creating... celebrating World Card Making Day... still think it should be a public holiday so those that have to work, can enjoy a full day of card making....

Today's card was one of those cards than accidentally happened.... the basket was some strips I had woven a while ago and were just sitting in with the paper waiting for something to happen to them... a cute little basket was the obvious choice....

Papillon Potpourri is a Stampin' Up! stamp set that has the coordinating punches Elegant Butterfly & Bitty Butterfly... gotta love that... makes it sooo much easier... so I turned the card into a basket of butterflies...

...or click on to any of the Stampin' Up! images
to take you straight to the product...

Well, time for another cuppa & decide what to do today... (holidays for the next 2 weeks... YAYYY!!)
Will chat soon...

Happy World Cardmaking Day!!!

Hi all...

'Happy World Card Making Day!!!'

Personally I think it should be a public holiday... maybe one day... at least it should be a day free of any housework, cleaning, washing, cooking... blah, blah, blah.....

I just wanted to share an extract from Martha Stewart's Website telling a bit of history about 'WCMD'...

'World Card Making Day began in 2006 as National Card Making Day. Founded by Paper Crafts magazine to bring card makers together at the beginning of the busiest card-making season of the year, it was first held on October 7, 2006. The initial celebration involved the Paper Crafts magazine audience only; however, due to the positive response it received and the worldwide popularity of card making, the holiday became known as World Card Making Day from then on.

Celebrating its eighth year in 2013, World Card Making Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in October. It's a day for the card-making communityhobbyists, retailers, and manufacturersto unite and celebrate the connection and creativity that is the heart of card making. '

When thinking about what occasions most prompts people to make cards... it was a tough decision on what it would be... Birthdays or Christmas.... bit of a tie I think... any way, I decided to opt for the Christmas Card... It always seems a bit of a thing that takes careful planning an army like precision in executing the large amount of cards... numerous cups of caffeine or glasses of wine are often consumed and often done with the help of a family member or friends... and when the last card is sealed in the envelope, we swear to never make another card again... yer, right... like that will happen... I love it tooooo much!!! Here's today's 'Hybrid' cards... all done with Stampin' Up! Digital images & papers from the 'Joyful Times' Kit... add a bit of ink & some bling... & there you have it...

Well that's me for now.. hope you liked my first Christmas cards of the season...
Will chat a bit later...
